Last Saturday I was at Chelmsford police HQ in Chelmsford for Donna and Dave's 25th Wedding Anniversary. The party was actually held in their sports pavilion just behind the main building.

I got to the main building at 6:30pm but couldn't find the sports pavilion at first. I had a look around to try and find someone and ended up in the training grounds behind HQ and then the police museum! When I did finally manage to find an officer he said that he wasn't from this station and had no idea either. In the end I waited for a senior office to come and help me. The is never one around when you need one is there!

By the time I found the pavilion it was close to 7pm and only had around half hour to setup. I quickly got my stuff in and started setting up. Guests started arriving just before 7:30pm, by which time I was able to get some music playing and finished off putting up the lighting rig.

After about an hour of background music I decided to kick off the party by introducing myself and starting with a bit of Maroon 5 and Olly Murs. It wasn't long before I moved onto the older stuff like the Jackson 5, The Contours and Jackie Wilson.

After a while I was asked to play some of the old Jive stuff so I played a bit of Chuck Berry, The Beatles and a little bit more Jackie Wilson.
