This Thursday me and Lee were in Heybridge for Kerry & Taylor’s wedding reception at Vaulty Manor.
Lee knows Kerry & Taylor fairly well as his girlfriend works with Kerry and her sister in Bar Zero in Billericay.
As Lee knew our newly weds, it gives us an upper hand to what sort of music they would like. Kerry did also send us a playlist so we had more than enough tunes to choose from on the night.
We arrived at the venue on time but Kerry & Taylor were running about half an hour behind schedule so we used the time to unload the gear into the bar area ready to go once the speeches had finished.
Once everyone was ready and the evening guests had arrived, we did the cutting of the cake and went straight into the first dance.
During the first dance at the crescendo, there was supposed to be a confetti balloon above the dance floor which was meant to go but didn’t so we had to reenact the first dance while Lee got on a chair with a broom stick and pin and burst the balloon giving the desired effect second time round.
We played a good mix for all ages throughout the night and finished on a bit of UK Garage and a few Indie classics.
A good night was had by all and we kept the dance floor busy right till the end.
