This Saturday me and Lee were in Rettendon for Sam & Sian’s wedding reception at The Lodge Country Inn.
We arrived at The Lodge and was greeted by the coordinator who showed us where we needed to setup and we had a chat about how the night was going to run as we weren’t really running by times just by ear with the cutting of the cake, first dance and BBQ.
Sam had a surprise for Sian, he had a Frank Sinatra style singer to sing their first dance song. We had to convince Sam (if she asked) that the singer was helping us and that we needed two sets of equipment.
The singer sang the first dance and then did an hour set of all old Rat Pack stuff which went down well with all the guests.
We started our set after the singer with a bit of 80s Groove and then some Top 40. We were given a playlist which we made our way through the night which consisted of RnB, UK Garage and Indie.
We started playing the Garage about an hour before the end which went down really well. We followed the Garage with some new house music which also worked really well and we had a busy dance floor for the last hour.
